Jayco Herald Sun Tour & Lexus of Blackburn Women’s Herald Sun Tour

Experience all the action and excitement of elite cycling as the Men’s Road Stage 2 comes to a flying finish around 1.20pm.
This will be followed by the exciting Lexus of Blackburn’s Women’s Stage 2 Road Race which will both start and finish in Churchill and decide the race winner. See the Women riders off at 2.30pm and cheer them over the finish at approximately 5pm.
Get up close to some of the sport’s best Men and Women riders and enjoy family friendly activities.


Now in its 66th edition, the Jayco Herald Sun Tour is Australia’s oldest professional stage race. It is one of Australia’s heritage sporting events, supported and revered by generations of Victorians. The Lexus of Blackburn Women’s Herald Sun Tour will be held for the second time in 2019.

For more than sixty years, the ‘Sun Tour’ has captured the attention of sports fans throughout Victoria. Riders from around the world compete in the Tour, with a long and distinguished list of past winners, and an honour role that includes Tour de France Champions Chris Froome and Sir Bradley Wiggins.

This year the event commences in Phillip Island for Stage 1 of both the Men’s and Women’s events and travels across the State from Wonthaggi to Churchill, Sale to Warragul, Cape Schanck to Arthurs Seat and concludes in Melbourne.

These events provide a platform for upcoming Australian riders to race against the world’s best and a fantastic opportunity to experience elite cycling and get up close to some of the sport’s best riders.
