Morwell Centenary Rose Garden

Stop and smell the roses at the internationally recognised Morwell Centenary Rose Garden. Stroll through four acres of imaginatively landscaped gardens where over 100 beds are home to more than 4,000 roses. Gravel paths lead through a picturesque arrangement of a professional selection of 400 varieties of roses including hybrids and traditional favourites.

In 2009 the garden was presented with an Award Of Garden Excellence by the World Federation of Rose Societies.

The Morwell Centenary Rose Garden is free to the public and is open all year round with best viewing from November to April. Open garden, 24 hour access.

The 2020 International Rose Garden Festival Morwell will be held on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November – as a hybrid of an online, virtual event with a night lights installation at the garden.
Online, visitors will be able to navigate a map of the Morwell Centenary Rose Garden and click on events and activities. Workshops, music, children’s entertainment, stalls and garden talks will be run online as free, interactive events. People will be able to comment, ask questions, and take part in polls, workshops and masterclasses all from the comfort of their homes – and even buy goods from stallholders as though they were there.

Registrations for the event are now open: https://irgfm.com.au/page/virtual-registration
