Morwell River Falls

The Morwell River flows through valleys of the Strzelecki Ranges for more than 40 kilometres. The Morwell River Falls are a set of waterfalls that lie in the upper reaches of the river near the township of Boolarra. The first, is framed by an overhanging tree branch and swing. Moving downstream water cascades over two more consecutive drops.

 

From Boolarra take the Morwell River Road for 21 kms, dirt road. The car park is beside the road.

Falls are marked by stencil animals on concrete bollards.

The picnic area at Morwell River Falls Reserve is 100 metres from the car park, the walking track down to the falls starts in the bottom right hand corner of the picnic area near the information board.

Short steep walk to waterfalls (Grade3)

No toilets.
