Morwell Town Common Playground

Morwell Town Common Playground
The Morwell Town Common Playground is a large wooden adventure playground built by 2500 volunteers from the local community in 1998. Resembling a wooden castle, it features lots of ramps, walkways and levels with nooks and crannies to explore. There are balance beams, spiral slide, wave ladder, sand pit with mechanical scoop, scrambling wall, chain nets and monkey bars. There are several types of swings including one with a harness and an old fashioned tyre swing.
A small maze which has fun things to find at all the dead ends and leads out to a wooden structure with wave slide, scrambling wall, ladder, fireman’s pole, climbing wall net traverse, steering wheel panel, stepping board traverse, shop front and tic-tac-toe.
Around a soft mat surface is a spinning cup with hand wheel, stand on spinner and four person rocker. Just enough to make you dizzy!
There is a big grassy area with plastic basketball net, two unshaded tables, dry creek bed with bridge, stepping logs and beautiful ladybird xylophones and music making instruments. Shelters with tables and BBQs, toilets and water taps.
A fantastic park for families.
