Newman Park in Traralgon has so much to offer including a range of playgrounds for children of all ages, an all abilities Liberty Swing (key can be collected from Latrobe Visitor Information Centre (32 Kay Street, Traralgon) 7 days, 10am – 4pm) flying fox, swings, sandpit, table tennis table, undercover electric barbeques, picnic tables and seats spread throughout the park, toilets and ample parking.


The miniature steam train runs the perimeter of the park on the 4th Sunday of the month (weather permitting) 12-4pm. Run by the Gippsland Model Engineering Society, admission for adults and children is by gold coin donation. Health Regulations state that no bare feet, thongs or open-toed footwear are permitted on the train.
