Jumbuk Park is a pristine pocket of paradise set in the glorious Strzelecki Ranges 2.25 hours east of Melbourne. Amongst the 320 acres of temperate mountain ash and fern gully rainforest you’ll find yourself immersed in lyrebird song and surrounded by countless native animals. They’ll be a new fern gully to discover around every corner and a secret lake waiting for you just down there, beneath it all where all the gullies meet.
Our wilderness is virtually untapped, no noise, no pollution, not another soul in sight. From our magnificent vantage point you’ll take in vast expanses of rolling hills and dense forest leading all the way down to Wilson’s Promontory.
Jumbuk Park gives 180 degree views that allow you to see for miles and spot kookaburras, black cockatoos and graceful wedge tailed eagles soaring high in the valleys below. At night beneath a clear sky, after a breath taking sunset, the star show comes to life.
High annual rainfall means lush vegetation and incredible scenery, best admired on foot whist traversing some of the many trails in and around Jumbuk Park.
On our doorstep lies old growth forest that pre-date white settlement. There’s a whole world of wonder to be explored both within and just beyond our borders. But tread lightly to give yourself every chance to spot some of our incredible wildlife and so as not to disturb the unique natural environment.
Jumbuk Park is located at nearly 600 metres above sea level.
Centrally located between the Morwell National Park and Tarra Bulga National Park. Walking tracks and seldom used roads are spread throughout the area and makes us a great base camp for peaceful and spectacular trekking or mountain biking expeditions.
