NAB AFL Women’s Match – Collingwood vs GWS

Morwell will come alive with two high-powered AFLW teams – Collingwood and GWS clashing in the 2019 NAB AFL Women’s Competition. This will be a match not to miss!

Please note that this event is fully catered, no BYO.

Match information:

  • 11.30 am: Gates open
  • 12.00 pm: Curtain raiser
  • 2.05 pm: Collingwood v GWS


This event is a FREE event! So bring the whole family down and enjoy a great day of watching AFLW!


FREE gelato + face painting
Proud partner the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation (VRGF) will be handing out free gelato around the grounds on the day. Head along and get your face painted as well!

Spartan Kids Race
There’s plenty for kids to do around the grounds, including the Kids Spartan Race. Designed for all ages, this test of agility is a great way to get active on a Sunday afternoon!

Gippsland AFL
Looking to participate in your local football club? Catch the Gippsland AFL team around the grounds for more information, and also test your skills on the inflatable cube and goal posts – perfect for kids! Local clubs will be in attendance, so you can find out more information about girls and boys football.

Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby
You can also watch the Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby team skating around the grounds as they hand out information about their local league.

Catch up and coming junior talent as NAB AFL Auskick participants show their stuff on ground.


Getting there

Parking around Morwell Recreation Reserve is extremely limited, so using public transport is recommended.

The Morwell Train Station is located a short distance from the ground, and shuttle buses will be provided before and after the match.

Please note, no dogs will be allowed to enter the ground. Assistance dogs are permitted.

Food & beverage outlets

Food and beverage outlets will be at the match, provided by the Latrobe City Authority. A bar will be available for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink purchases.

Narkoojee, plays host to the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra Quartet in the winery’s winemaking space in Glengarry. Enjoy a performance of Brahms’ magnificent second quintet in G followed by a lunch prepared by the winery’s restaurant ‘by Jorg’. A glass of Sparkling Harriet on arrival and matching wines with the lunch are included.
