World Food Day
World Food Day is an annual event celebrated across the globe to promote awareness and action for those exposed to hunger and for the need to ensure that food security and nutritious diets are available to all.
World Food Day falls on a Wednesday this year – so we will be extending the celebrations to Saturday 19 October.
There will be lots of delicious local food, stalls, crafts, live music, Latrobe Streetgames, and let’s not forget the cooking demonstrations by local Masterchef Noelene Marchwicki and 2018 MKR finalist Suong Pham.
With the Latrobe Valley Beekeepers Association, Biodynamic farmer Ian Onley and Warragul Worms offering mini workshops and sharing their expertise – there is sure to be something for everyone.
This is a free community event.
